I’m Full Professor on Telecommunications of Politecnico di Milano and my interests are in Statistical Signal Processing for communication systems and remote sensing.<\/p>\n
I graduated as Dott.Ing.Elettronica (cum laude<\/i>) from the Politecnico di Milano in 1988, and I’m Faculty member of the Dipartimento di Elettronica Informazione e Bioingegneria (DEIB), Politecnico di Milano, since 1990.<\/p>\n
My research in statistical signal processing covers remote sensing and communication systems with more than 250 papers on peer-reviewed journals\/conferences and patents. The specific areas of interest include channel estimation and space\u2013time processing for single\/multi-user wireless communication systems, cooperative and distributed methods, parameter estimation\/tracking and wavefield interpolation for remote sensing (UWB radar and oil exploration).<\/p>\n
I cofounded 2 companies: WisyTech (2006) and Medielma (2011), and other entrepreneur initiatives. I was recipient\/co-recipient of Best Paper Awards from EAGE on geophysical signal processing methods (1991, 1998), from IEEE on array processing (ICASSP 2006) and distributed synchronization for wireless sensor networks (SPAWC 2007, WRECOM 2007), and IET (2014) for intelligent transport system. I served as part of IEEE Editorial boards as well as member in technical program committees of several conferences for all the areas of my interests.<\/p>\n
